Welcome to Dissenting Harmony (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By participating in the choir, purchasing tickets, making a donation, or using our website or services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Purpose and Mission

Dissenting Harmony is a nonprofit organization dedicated to choral music, community building, and public performance. Our services exist to support this mission.

Choir Participation

By registering or participating in the choir, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information

  • Treat fellow singers, leadership, volunteers, and audience members with respect

  • Follow rehearsal, performance, and safety guidelines

  • Communicate promptly if you are unable to attend required events

We reserve the right to limit or end participation if behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with our mission or community standards.

Code of Conduct

We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment. Harassment, discrimination, or harmful behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This applies to rehearsals, performances, online spaces, and choir-related events.

Donations

  • Donations are voluntary and non-refundable unless otherwise stated

  • Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law (if applicable)

  • Donors are responsible for ensuring their donation information is accurate

Donation payments are processed through third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment information.

Ticket Sales and Events

  • All ticket sales are final unless an event is canceled or otherwise stated

  • Event details (dates, times, venues) may change; ticket holders will be notified when possible

  • Tickets may not be resold or transferred for commercial purposes without permission

Refund policies for specific events may be communicated at the time of purchase.

Payments and Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party platforms for payments, ticketing, email communications, and registrations. Use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party service outages or errors.

Photos, Audio, and Video Recordings

By participating in rehearsals or performances, you acknowledge that photos, audio, or video recordings may be taken for promotional, archival, or educational purposes.

If you have concerns or wish to opt out where possible, please notify us in advance.

Intellectual Property

All content produced by Dissenting Harmony, including recordings, programs, written materials, and website content, is the property of the choir unless otherwise noted.

Participants may not reproduce or distribute choir materials for commercial use without written permission.

Minors

Participation is limited to adults, and we do not knowingly accept registrations from minors.

Limitation of Liability

Participation in choir activities is voluntary. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dissenting Harmony is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in rehearsals, performances, travel, or events, except where caused by gross negligence or unlawful conduct.

Changes to Services or Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued participation or use of services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to services or participation if these terms are violated or if necessary to protect the choir or its members.
